The White Horse of Kilburn

It is the White Horse of Kilburn, this is the view from the main runway looking north. This famous landmark would have been familiar to both ground and aircrew alike. However one would have to be very observant, it was camouflaged in 1939 through to the war's end, preventing it from being a landmark for enemy aircraft.
