434 Aircraft Serial Number History
The majority of the following aircraft did not come from the factory directly to 434 squadron, an "Aircraft Movement Card" will only determine the a/c's history from production to decommission/destruction. Aircraft were often passed between squadrons to keep equal strength. I.e. Should a squadron loose a number of a/c during a mission, then replacements could come from a HCU or another squadron either permanently or temporarily.
(See A/C Movement Cards in "Research Documents"). I have added the pilot and crew # for easier reference.

Call Signs (letters)
Some aircraft have more than one set of radio call signs, which are marked either as “Also” or “Later” because at some point, the squadron physically repainted the aircraft letter to reflect the new position within the squadron for that aircraft. “Also” means it has not been determined which call sign was on the aircraft first and “Later” indicates the order in which they are known to have had the call letters. Very few of the aircraft for No. 6 (RCAF) Bomber Group had their letters applied at the factory.
